Hailing from South-East London and born into a musical family, Susannah embarked on her musical journey at the age of 7. Music swiftly became an integral part of her life, and she remains deeply grateful for the early encouragement that laid the foundation for her musical journey.
Her formal musical education commenced at the Lewisham Music Service Music Centre, soon after taking up the cello. At 11, she began studies at London’s Centre for Young Musicians with John Kirby. Later, at 15, her musical exploration continued with Alexandra McKenzie until she commenced studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2020, where she is currently under the mentorship of Jennifer Langridge.
Performance has always been a source of joy, particularly in the realm of chamber music. Involvement in various groups at the RNCM has been rewarding, with equal pleasure found in orchestral playing. Notably, she was a member of the London School’s Symphony Orchestra between the ages of 13-17. At the RNCM, she's had the privilege of participating in diverse ensembles, including a recent engagement as part of the orchestra for a production of Jonathan Dove’s opera ‘Mansfield Park.’ Her personal playing interests gravitate towards baroque and 20th-century music.
